Beers and breweries from mainland Europe
Please select a country from the list below. Then use the site's search functions as normal.
NOTE: in order to use this part of Beermad you need to allow the site to set cookies in your browser. If they can't be set, it will fall back to searching British beers.
Important
The information in this section of Beermad is not as comprehensive or up-to-date as the information on British beers and breweries. It consists purely of information that has been gathered for personal use, made publicly available in case it is of use to anybody. The status and ABV of many beers will inevitably be wrong and some breweries marked as currently brewing will have closed. Please treat all information on non-British beers and breweries as provisional. All information is provided "as is"; whilst efforts are made to keep it as accurate as possible the accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
For most countries there is only information about beers and breweries Beermad has come across (and probably sampled). The comprehensiveness of a country's listings is proportional to Beermad's interest in its beers, so Belgium, the Netherlands and France have more entries than, for example, Spain or Portugal.
A number of brewery entries exist as "stubs", without any beer information. This is because they have been added to the database in order to link to their website.
Towns and provinces are normally entered using the correct local names, so while you won't find anything if you search for Bruges, Brugge will be found. Similarly East Flanders will not work, whereas Oost Vlaanderen will. Generally the only exception to the "use local names" rule will be places like Brussels, which is officially bilingual so has two proper local names (Brussel or Bruxelles) - in this case the English name is used.
